More Bear Hug Quilts

I've just finished up the final batch of  lil bear hug tops donated from several quilter friends of Heartstrings Group.  I paired them with batt, backing & binding and got to quilt them up and donate to wonderful charities in my area.  I've used walking foot and free motion quilting with Omni and Glide threads. This is a long term mission for me.  You can learn about the program over at Heartstrings.

Puppy Print - I couldn'd find the name of who donated the top

Lil Churn Dash donated by Kathy Nyman

These next two tops donated by Bonnie Adler

The last two tops donated by Cindy Weber

I've also been working on some autumn decorations and larger quilts 4 kids and I've got a lovely batch of donated baby size quilt tops I need to pair up with batt & backings for more mission work.

In the meantime, I'm joining these lovely linky parties this week.  Please be sure to visit them to see what other creative quilters are sharing.

  2. Sounds like you’ve been sewing at breakneck speed. Everything is cute, and I love that you do so much charity work (because I do too). In fact, I think most of us who’ve been quilting for a long while eventually ending up going charity work. Hope you’re having a nice weekend, Kat!

  5. Each one of these is cuter than the one before! I bet the kids who receive them just love them.

  6. Cute little quilts and animals. I always get some inspiration from what you show. But then I remember everything I currently have started, and think -- shouldn't start more. Hopefully I'll squeeze at least one baby quilt in this month.

  8. Such a wonderful idea. The pairing of an animal with a small quilt must bring such joy. What a great mission. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss. https://www.inquiringquilter.com/questions/2025/10/08/wednesday-wait-loss-453
