6 Quilts in 6 Weeks Challenge - Week 1

Have you seen the new challenge instigated by Villa Rosa Designs?  Look at me getting myself into all this trouble trying to participate in all the challenges.  I can't bear to avoid them.  You can find out about this challenge on this post Join the 6 Quilts in 6 Weeks Challenge Today!  Won't you suffer along with me?

I was hard pressed to get this one done this week with so many errands and appointments in our schedule. Yesterday afternoon I devoted to making the top and today was quilting a binding.  I pulled some fat quarters which all had a space theme and added some yardage too.  It is very lively.  Ha.

I quilted in a cross hatch style to save time this week.  It finished at 35 x 45 and will be donated.

Here is the Villa Rosa pattern that I used to make this quilt.  You can get your own copy here Search: 2 results found for "cabin fever" – Villa Rosa Designs.  I love to get the digital copy because I get it right away but mostly because I can print it out enlarged on a full sheet which makes it easier for me to work from.

I'm sharing on the Villa Rosa Facebook page where you can see what other users of their patterns are sharing  and also at these lovely sites sharing their linky parties.

  1. More power to you, but six quilts and six weeks, even if they're baby quilts, I would not want to set out to try to do that. I love quilting but I need time in the garden and enjoying other outlets. Deadlines bring me stress.

  4. Such a cool challenge! You've got one done and regardless of whether you're able to keep up at the end you'll still have six quilts to donate to charity and that's quite something! Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.

  5. I'm impressed. I wouldn't be able to do finish six quilts in six weeks. I'm cheering you one and you are on a roll. Keep it up!

  6. Six quilts in six weeks, wowser! I'm not even sure I could manage six quilts in six seasons. Although, that does have a nice ring to it. I do understand the allure of the challenge. So tempting.

  7. This is a cutie, Kat! Good luck with your six week challenge. BTW, your package is on the way and should be to you by mid week! I had to wait for mailers to get here. Thanks for sharing with us at Monday Musings. Have a great week.
