I purchased 2 1/2 inch squares as the quilt shop in my area did not have pre-cut hex shapes. Just wondering if this piece is large enough. I've made 1 hex and it's tight with the 2 1/2 inch square.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7838764027334501433.post-83045478169452412552012-09-27T12:47:34.438-04:002012-09-27T12:47:34.438-04:00Thank You for this very easy to follow tutorial......Thank You for this very easy to follow tutorial...I have all my supplies and am ready to go...<br />Kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02671502425229455144noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7838764027334501433.post-74326640535620730852011-09-13T20:42:21.047-04:002011-09-13T20:42:21.047-04:00You can remove the template once the next row is a...You can remove the template once the next row is added so the piece is supported by templates. Always have the outermost edges with the cardstock in tact. I leave my templates in for as long as possible, removing them when they're needed to be re-used or when your project is finished.Kat Scribnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06973680119735443740noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7838764027334501433.post-47227294436570728432011-09-13T19:17:42.443-04:002011-09-13T19:17:42.443-04:00When are the templates removed??When are the templates removed??ravenmavenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02111521867407129385noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7838764027334501433.post-18764565981464781022011-09-12T10:14:59.998-04:002011-09-12T10:14:59.998-04:00Thanks so much for everyones' comments! I've started to use paperclips to hold down the edges as I basted the together as you show in your pictures. The pin the centre would nicely hold the fabric in place while I clipped all the edges down for sewing. May just have to try that.
