Spiral Tree Skirt

This 25" spiral tree skirt is on my design wall today.  It is made with the 9 degree wedge ruler.  I saw an image of a harvest print used to make a wreath wall hanging in this style.  I chose a christmas print and set about making my wreath.  I am unhappy with the proportions.  I should have made the strip with the christmas fabric much narrower.  The design ratio is overwhelming as a wreath, so I am turning it into a christmas tree skirt for a tabletop tree.  It needs to be quilted and finished off with some red binding and ties.

I'm linking up with Judy over at Patchwork Times where you will find many other creative quilters sharing their design wall today.

  3. Wow that is really stunning Kat. Perfect for a tree skirt. Are you doing the binding in red too? That would really say "Oh Christmas Tree!"
