ScrapHappy Saturday - February Pinks 1

It will be short and simple sewing sessions for me for the next week or so. Yesterday I sorted the scrap bin - pinks and reds are mixed together.  I sorted into a few sizes hoping to make easy work sewing them up.

I began with the kaleidoscope blocks first.  I am still adjusting the recipe for a proper size block. LOL  It's not working yet, but I intend to make all those blocks work together when the end of the year approaches.

My variety of pink scraps is limited.  I do have several fat quarters set aside, but I don't consider FQ as scrap, that is yardage of a different kind.

Next week I can look to the little rail fence blocks and wonky log cabins or maybe Angela will post another block as incentive for my rainbow row quilt.  We'll see what calls to me.

In the meantime, I am linking up with Soscrappy where you can see what other creative quilters are doing with their rainbow scrap challenge.

  1. I love the idea of combining different sized kaleidoscope blocks in a quilt–it definitely would be challenging, but the result might be worth it.

  2. Great blocks!! My scrap box of pink is pretty limited too and I just might....have to cut up some fat quarters!

  8. Beautiful kaleidoscope blocks. Wow.
I have some pink scraps but may have to raid my stash a bit so my blocks to have some color value.

  9. Just catching up on all the RSC posts! I'm anxious to see the different sized kaleidoscope blocks together. I have to make mine all the same size since making them is challenging enough for me! My pinks were mixed in with the reds too! Only reason I have pink scraps is because I have a granddaughter who loves it.
