Showing off a Cyberquilter's quilt

Not quite an entire quilt show,  but Rebecca is allowing me to showcase her most recent finish,  she has been sewing like the wind.

She said this was made from a bolt of striped fabric.   Please post your comments on the Cyberquilters list, so everyone will see them.   Thanks.

Stoplight Quilt

A new finish for my  stash of children quilts.  This project resulted from  the jelly roll challenge instigated last year over on Stashbusters yahoo group.

The Stoplight quilt, measures 44 x 50,  poly batt and multi-color fleece print on the back.  Simple quilting to keep it cuddly (okay, I was in a hurry),  straight lines with FMQ foot.  This would be my first UFO finish of the year, and it's only January.

I used this fleece on the back;

I'm joining some great linky parties this week ,  be sure to visit them to see what other creative quilters are sharing.

RSC18 - Scrappy blues

I have a few unfinished RSC projects from years past, but none needed blue units,  so I only worked on my RSC project for 2018,  Bonnie Hunter's  Scrappy Hourglass project.

I used the go cutter in the scrap bins, which made easy work of these units.  Here are my 36 units.  I dont know how many I'll  need of each color.  I will figure that out as I go along.

I'm linking up with  Angela of  Soscrappy today  and tomorrow I'll share with Cynthia for Oh Scrap.

Starting a new year with Order ...........

...............  at least with the scraps.   I spent the first 10 days of the year cutting, trimming, tossing, and all round organizing my mountain of scraps.   I wish I had taken photos of the bins before they were made useful,  you would be amazed.

But,  here is the finished product ..........  since these photos were taken,  I also removed the small bits and bytes that would be crumb blocks,  passing them on to a new quilter, who will take the leftovers to experiment with.

2-1-2   &  2 inch strips,  2-1/2   &  2 inch squares,   2-1/2   &  2 inch HST  and 3 inch QST; the bigger drawers have chunks and any leftover pieces up to FQ size.   I missed getting a photo of the brown and black bins, but they are also done.  My aqua, teal & purple collection is almost non-existent.

I also spent the last 2 days cutting backgrounds for the hourglass quilt (which is my RSC18 project) and a Scrappy 9-patch Irish Chain quilt.  The color squares were also cut last month from the scrap bins.  I think these color squares will make 2 tops.

I also have 2 bags of strings, one darks and one lights.  So now there's lots of sewing and quilting to do.  I'm linking up with Oh Scrap  and  Design Wall Mondays.

Be sure to visit there to see what other quilters are sharing today.
