RSC 2020 - Dark Blues

I shared my blue and green scrap snap blocks last week.  This week I worked on my other 3 RSC projects - 5 blocks, for me , lots of scrappy labor.  I cut most of these parts with the Gocutter.  The blocks turned out so well and without any trimming.  I've learned I'm not a very good rotary cutter and I will use the go whenever I can.

I'm sharing with  ...................

and Sunday with Oh Scrap.

Be sure to visit these sites to see what other quilters are sharing this week.

Thanks so much for stopping by and PLEASE  wear your masks to keep everyone safe.

  1. I especially like my die cutter for HSTs, QSTs, snowballs, and half rectangle triangles. SO much more accurate and no trimming of the "dog ears".

  2. Looks like the Go is a good investment. I have to alternate cutting tasks with other tasks and cut a little at a time before hand and wrist hurt.

  3. I am an Accuquilt girl myself. Way to bust those blue scraps!

  4. I don't have a Go cutter, but can see where it would be a good investment. Cutting accurately can be a bit of a challenge sometimes! Your blocks look great!

  5. Love all your blocks! I am still rotary cutting although I have seen more people using the cutters and getting great results.

  9. Good Day,
I too like my Accuquilt Go Baby and my 9 in cubes. I have a question. Is there a pattern for the pinwheel, friendship star block? Love your site and all you do for us. Thank you

  10. There is not a link for pattern to send you too. I saw it in a photo of a tablerunner. I could see that it would tessellate nicely, so made up my own dimensions of 9 inch finished block. the center HST are finished at 1-1/2 " each to make a 3 " finished pinwheel in the center. The friendship star HST finish at 3 inches and the corner units also finish at 3 inches by cutting 2 " x 3-1/2" rectangles. assemble as a 9 patch once the units are created.

  13. Your dark blue blocks look great. I'm making the Scraptastic Star like the one on the top right also, but I still need to catch up with June on my RSC blocks!

  14. Beautiful scrappy blue blocks! I love my Accuquilt cutter too, and I should remember to use it more often, especially since I'm getting more arthritis in my hands. Thanks for the reminder!

  17. I love the idea of using your Go Cutter. I like mine but can't always use it because I don't have the right size dies. Do you have a Qube or two? I have a 9" but I'm thinking it might be time to get the 12.
