I made this top last year during Soscrappy RSC month of orange. I made a few kid sized tops using oranges that month. They were nicely hung on a hanger waiting to be quilted. Before you know it, another year has gone by. I sandwiched the top in May when orange was called again but didnt get it quilted until this past week.
This is a Villa Rosa Designs pattern called Snow Ruby. I quilted straight lines in a zig zag style across the top using an Omni buttery yellow thread. I made it to finish at 44 x 52.
I had a fleece backing print in peach and grays that was perfect for this top. This quilt will be donated for a quilt 4 kids program.

Cute quilt, and for such a good cause! I love Villa Rosa patterns.
ReplyDeleteWhat a "peach" of a finish! That will be one loved quilt!
ReplyDeleteIt's great that orange makes a comeback every year! Bravo on finishing this quilt, the zigzag quilting is really great. Thank you for sharing it and linking up.
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty combination of colors, Kat! And you really did have the perfect background for it, too. Nice finish!
ReplyDeleteThis will be a well loved quilt! Any child will be lucky to receive it!
ReplyDeleteThat’s a cute donation quilt!🥰 The backing matches perfectly!
ReplyDeleteCute quilt and nice peachy shades. It's funny how a top will sit for a long time, as if aging it like fine wine! This one is a winner even if it has been carefully aged! (like fine wine, right?)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful combination of colors, I love it. The backing is perfect for the quilt.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great colorway!
