CCQ #37 - Strippy KISS

I have been keeping busy every day working on new parts for old quilt projects and new projects too.  Today I can share a finish, a UFO actually as I cut all the parts to it last month.

This quilt is made from the pattern K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simply Strips).  You will find the free pattern at
http://sewpreetiquilts.blogspot.com/2016/02/craftsy-sweetens-up-my-life-blog-hop.html.  I've shared this link before.

You just can't make enough of these; perfect size for child, 40 x 52.  The pattern is so simple and the design allows for any type of quilting finish.  For quilting, I started a rectangle in the center and stitched around it until covered.  I'll donate this quilt to our quilds child comfort quilt program.

Here is the back, a nice fleece print using lots of the colors in the top.  I also used a poly batt in between, making the quilt bulky and warm.

So I'll be sharing my finish with my two favorite yahoo groups, Cyberquilters and Stashbusters.

I'll also be linking up with Connie at Freemotion By The River today.  On Wednesday, I'll get to link up with Susan at Quilt Fabrication and Lorna at Sew Fresh Quilts.

The icing on the cake  --  this is the finish for my OMG (one monthly goal) for January.  At the end of the month I'll be able to link up with Patty of  Elm Street Quilts for OMG Challenge finish.  You will find my original post for the January challenge  HERE.

Be sure to visit these sites to see what other quilters are creating and sharing.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

  3. 1. Beautiful colors in the quilt top. You got the contrast working beautifully and the backing is just so yummy.
    2. Nothing can be more gratifying to a quilter/designer than what you have done. You have not only made the quilt top based on my design, you have generously spread the word and given me credit. I am blushing while I enjoy the view from Cloud 9.
    Hugs,
    Preeti.
