I had pieced up these strippie=style quilts a few months ago when SoScrappy's RSC color of the month was orange. I pin basted them at group sew day last month and decided to dive in with a quick quilting plan.
They each finished at 46 x 56 and are already packaged for donation to our local community service departments for giving out at this discretion. I used a lovely Glide lavender thread for free motion quilting. They are each backed with a fun fleece print.

Such happy and pretty strippy quilts! I love the fun and cute backings, for sure some kids will love them too! Great quilting too, thank you for sharing and linking up.
ReplyDeleteA great design!
ReplyDeleteAwesome quilts. I love the color combo you used - so bright and happy.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful donation quilts and will be well loved! :)
ReplyDeleteI love orange when paired with blue violet. What pretty quilts! Great plan you had to get them done fast. Kudos! Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.

Eye catching and fun, Kat!!! Love that backing, too!!!
ReplyDeleteYeah for two more finishes! Did you also use batting with these or just the fleece to serve both as batting and backing? Just curious as I have done both.
ReplyDeleteYes, I always use batting. I have already worked thru my assortment of other blends and now buy only the large bolts/roll of 80/20.
DeleteSo so cute!!! and the backs!! love them
ReplyDeleteHappy colors and cheery backs. The recipients are going to love their quilts.
ReplyDeleteYour strippie bargellos are great. I might consider making another one with that technique! I have made one, aptly entitled Twisted Sister - my first and last! LOL Thanks for sharing with us at Monday Musings.
