I spent Friday piecing this table runner with autumn fabrics. I thought it would be a quick project but admit I am a slow quilter. I got it sandwiched and began quilting it. Hope to share a finished photo tomorrow. This design was inspired by the Nox Tablerunner by Connie Kresin at Freemotion By The River.
I wanted it longer than her pattern and added some extra units. I do like it so if no family loves it, I will use it myself.
Hoping I can update this post tomorrow with a photo of this runner all quilted and bound.
Now it IS tomorrow and I have finished quilting this runner. Still difficult to get a good photo of the quilting. I used Military Gold Glide thread, quilting orange peels in the squares and straight lines in the sashing and border. The binding matched perfectly but I still wish I had made a difference choice. I love these colors ! The border fabric is so pretty, I also put it on the back, in case I wanted to use that side sometimes.

ReplyDeleteThat is a great table runner! Connie has some good designs! Usually not too complicated. I need to check this one out! My buffet is small, so I’d need a smallish one. This could fit the bill! Thanks for the inspiration
