RSC20 - some blocks for last years' projects

I'm working on those scrappy blocks needed for last year's unfinished projects.  They are so time consuming for me.  Guess I am a slow worker, which would be fine if perfection was the result.  These are 12 inch finished blocks.  Photo taken inside; the colors are prettier than displayed here.

I'm linking up with  Alycia Quilts today;  Soscrappy on Saturday  ,   and Oh Scrap on Sunday.

RSC 2020 - August, Sept, Oct

I've been busy sewing, cutting, sewing, and lots more cutting.  I  had 3 new RSC projects for 2020,  they have joined the unfinished groups of RSC projects from 2019,, 2018 and maybe ??????

While cutting, I did cut for one of my 2020 projects, I call this block a double pinwheel.  It might more properly be termed as a friendship pinwheel.  At any rate,  I was doing 3 blocks in each color, for a 30 block quilt.  I will have to doodle in EQ to see if I want a narrow sashing between the blocks or not.  Either way,  they make a nice alternate pattern too.

RSC 2020 - Dark Blues

I shared my blue and green scrap snap blocks last week.  This week I worked on my other 3 RSC projects - 5 blocks, for me , lots of scrappy labor.  I cut most of these parts with the Gocutter.  The blocks turned out so well and without any trimming.  I've learned I'm not a very good rotary cutter and I will use the go whenever I can.

I'm sharing with  ...................

and Sunday with Oh Scrap.

RSC 2020 -April & May Round 2

Working hard at cutting and sewing scrappies for the 2nd set of blocks I'm making this year.  Someone referred to them as scraptastic stars.  Next month I'll lay out the sets that are done on the design wall , just to be inspired by their progress.  These blocks are 12 inches.  Only one more block style to catch up with my RSC projects this year,  but I need 6 of them.

Late this week I caught up on the remaining RSC blocks for this years projects - 6 double pinwheels

I'm linking up with Angela of Soscrappy  and tomorrow with Cynthia for Oh Scrap.

RSC 2020 - Orange & greens

Just getting started with my oranges.  Is it still February??  I have one scrappy block put together and several pieces cut for more blocks.

Here I set it together with last month's block, these are not sewn together, just overlapping on the edge.

Here's more green blocks, not sure where i'm going with this,  the double pinwheels are made in 9 inch and 12 inch sizes.

and finally my very favorite 12 inch block .............

RSC2020 - Greens

I loved the quilts I've seen using this block design.  Somehow I don't love my block.  I haven't determined if it's just too busy for me  or the whites don't stand out well enough.  This one was a sample anyway,  12 inch finished.  Maybe it would come out better using the go cutter and lots of starch.??  It does look better from a distance.
