I've tried to have a productive week while working around appointments. I started piecing my Crimson Christmas kit designed by Krista Moser. You can get it HERE . I cut and pieced through steps 1-6 & 12. She has helpful videos on a private group which she will close after one year....come October.
Since I have so many photos today, I kept them on the smaller size. You can click on any photo to get a larger pic.
Then I moved on to donation projects. These bear hugs # 7 & 8 came from the blue scrap bin which was still out from February's RSC. I was going to put it away but there were several rail fence type sets sewn together for L/E. I made a few more to complete the sets and made two bear hug quilts.
# 7 is made from 3" finished rails. finished at 17 x 20. I paired it with a PBS Kids stuffie and free motion quilted a grid using rulers plus a little swirly in the tiny border. The backing is an adorable fleece print of puppies.

ReplyDeleteCrimson Christmas is a gorgeous quilt - I'll enjoy seeing your version of it, Kat! The newest bear hug quilts are adorable, too. They are a sweet way to use up scraps!
ReplyDeleteYou have had a very productive week making these cute donation quilts.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely collection of donation quilts. That puppy backing fabric is especially precious.
ReplyDeleteHi Kat, you are so kind to do that wonderful stitching for those worthy causes. I took a peek at Crimson Christmas and it looks beautiful but complicated. Beyond my skills but I will love seeing you stitch it. Happy Stitching!
