It seems I've been churning out tops the last couple months. Time to get really busy with the machine quilting and get these moving on to their new families.
This first one I did probably in May but the fabrics didnt take well to an indoor photo, so I finally got an outside pic this morning. I think it is 36 x 40 ish - a free pattern at Storied Quilts. It truly is a 2-hour quilt. Someday I plan to experiment with a few more fat quarters to make it larger. You can get the pattern HERE .
This little topper took longer to construct but it is really sweet. It measures 42 inches square and it reminds me of buttons and bows, so I call it Purple Bows. I used dimensions shared by our friend Dee of Stashbusters group. I tried the traditional way of constructing, but dont enjoy that method, so I used the chisel die to cut my bricks with the angles cut off for me. I then just had to fold in half to find the center and trim the ends down about one inch to make them come out square. I used a pink with dotsTula print for the background and some purple.
