So January is finished and it's time to share our first house. I made mine in blues to correspond with Angela's Rainbow Scrap Challenge. I added charming little elements to my first house. I top stitched them all down raw edge style. The background piece has a layer of thin interfacing This type of designing is a bit beyond my artistic talent. I am enjoying the challenge for a change of methods. My project will showcase different house designs in different size blocks. Why keep it simple ?
During my internet travels, I came across this page which offers 6 free house patterns and want to share the link with you, just in case you need more options.

Your house is so fun to look at, Kat! I love how you've added birds- and a cat? And a fence, too - now you've got me thinking! I'm ready to work on a February house.
