It was definitely time to whip up some more lil bear hug quilts to wrap around stuffies for giving to children. This project was started last year by Mary of MaryQuilts.com. A few of us thought it a great project and continuing it for a long term mission.
Following along with the RSC color of the month in aqua, I used yesterday to sew and quilt 2 lil bear hug quilts. Several years ago I used RSC to make a collection of Scrap Snap blocks offered by Quiltsforthemaking.blogspot.com . This was in 2020. The collection got stored in a box along with several other blocks, all of which I'm now calling a parts dept.
when aqua was called, I pulled out those aqua snap blocks and orange snap blocks for an accent. I used them to make 9 patch centers and added assorted borders cut from the scrap bins. They both finished at 21 x 24 inches and will be used to wrap up stuffies for children.

Those scrappy blocks make great little bear hug quilts, Kat! I really like the Scrap Snap blocks - they look like fun and quick to make. We all need something like that in our parts departments!
