Cozy Afternoons - great progress.

Maybe I should always fix my blunders on Sunday after church.  I didn't want to put this troubled block away on a shelf.  If  I was to fix it, it had to be now while the process is fresh.  So here is the troubled block.................

I got out the seam ripper and removed the border strips and triangles.  I cut 4 new triangles to insert between these outer strips and the center block.  Sewed them on, decided it looked awful because I picked one of the darkest rasberry shade,  proceeded to remove those triangles  and made 4 new ones in the light pink.  Today I was determined!

Now will those outer border strips and black triangles still fit ?...............  2 fit, 2 did not.  I added pieces onto the ends of one of the "did nots" and re-trimmed it.  For the 2nd "did not",  I removed the black triangle, made a new stripset, then put it back together.

So glad to have this block,  finished and correct!

I cleaned off the design wall so I could see them all  together.  This photo inspires me to plan some more redwork in the setting triangles to frame it - and some more borders.  It will be a "plan as you go" kind of project.  Sometimes those are the most fun and work out the best for me.  Isn't this awesome...
