This quilt was designed around a bundle of log cabin blocks donated to the quilt club. When I go to their sew days, I am often given the challenge to do something with these donations. I decided to offset the blocks with a very dark brown. The quilt is 60 x 71".
and here is the back ...............................
You can see all the quilts I've made for donation on my CCQ page ..tab at the top.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Our guild has many orphan blocks and this setting would be perfect for them. Thanks for sharing....
ReplyDeleteI enlarged it to see those centers - all pretty flowers set in those logs. Nicely done
ReplyDeleteWell done. I like the way you made a quilt from the orphans. Doing it that way also gave you a chance to square up anything too I guess.
ReplyDeleteThat's a fun setting for those log cabin blocks, Kat! I think it will really make you study each one. Good idea!
ReplyDeleteI love the dark background making the blocks "float". Congratulations on your quilt being the EQ December Contest!
ReplyDeleteI love the background. It offsets the colorful blocks very well.
ReplyDeleteThe brown really sets off the blocks Kat! Great job!
