Lil Bear Hug 26-01

The lil bear hug mission continues this year, initiated by Mary of Heartstrings aka Little Quilt Project – HeartStrings Quilt Project.

While continuing to work out of the blue scrap bin, I found some sets of potato chip shapes sewn into pairs.  I stitched them together for the center, then added leftover pieces to bring it to size - 19-1/2 by 21-1/2.   I did walking foot quilting in a diagonal grid using Omni mint green thread in the top and bobbin.  The backing and binding is also from scrap pieces.

I have been giving attention to several WIPs this week but needed to treat myself to a real finish, so the lil bear hug project is now started for another new year.

I'm joining these lovely linky parties this week.  Please be sure to visit them to see what other creative quilters are sharing.

  7. Such a good cause. And the satisfaction you get from a finish helps you make progress on those UFOs! Win-win. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.
