Orange Strippies 1 & 2

It seems as I pulled the bulk of my orange fabrics for RSC, I was in a quick strippies sort of mood.  My oranges needed another pop of color, so I added a deep purple.

First up is this 2 hour - 5 fat quarter baby quilt.  It really does take only 2 hours and it's so cute.  Here is the free pattern if you want to make your own 2 hour baby quilt ,,,,,

I pulled my unusual fq for this set, it looks a bit like fall, but it will make a nice stroller/car seat throw at 36 x 40.

This 2nd flimsy is a Villa Rosa Designs pattern called Snow Ruby.  It was also a quick and easy stripset design.  It will finish about 47 x 56; perfect toddler size.

I have 3 more strippie style tops to assemble before they join my quilting pile.  In the meantime....

RSC - Orange is the new month

I started out planning lots of quick quilts using orange, printed some plans; then cut the parts to one which should be quick to assemble...........  but got sidetracked.

So I am sharing these recently prepared split 9 patch blocks which are part of a donation to a guild in Calif for the LA fires.  Each split 9 patch block is 12 inches, so the  4-block arrangements are actually 24" each.  Some quilting gals helped me sew 40 blocks.  There are sets of orange, purple, blue & green.
