This table topper was re-created from a pic seen online several years ago. I called it Carol's Table Topper and I sure don't know who posted the original pic. I've tried to be better about labeling my photos now. I liked it so much, so I re-drew it in EQ in somewhat 9-patch sections, and I left out the outside corners that made it square. I wanted it to lay over a little worktable I use next to my evening stitching station in front of the TV with DH.
I pulled some teals which seem to be one of my favorite colors, if it is possible to have a favorite color. When you're a quilter, you tend to love them all. I cut and pieced it last fall, then it sat. So recently I finally stitched the free motion quilting with assorted designs in the different shapes. Then came the binding. So it sat sgain as I knew this would not be a pleasant job. Actually, it was worse than that....The task from Hades. I thought I could tackle the inside corners and must confess it went awful! Same with hand stitching down on the back. It was horrible and I won't subject myself to this particular misery again. Okay, we can't expect to be good at everything. Only God is perfect. Yay!
It measures 35 inches point to point. I used a few shades of Glide threads.
Here is the lovely fabric in the final dark border. It photos darker than it truly is. I couldn't find more of this fabric, evidently it is an old line, but I truly love this fabric with the teal and little gold specs.
This is a couple pics of it on my rolling work cart and the final pic is of the back.
I'm joining these lovely linky parties this week. Please be sure to visit them to see what other creative quilters are sharing.
