I got a response from the coordinator for the donations for fire victims of LA County, CA and they are happily accepting blocks to further their community project. You can read about this mission here ....
I was inclined to take on one more mission, so I headed to the scrap bins and gocutter dies and cut enough units for 40 blocks - ten (10) each of greens, purples, blues & light oranges. Some of my quilter friends were gracious enough to help me assemble them into blocks and we got 30 blocks covered. I have the batch of purples to sew yet.
I arranged some on the wall for a pic. This would not have been my first choice for a block to make, but it is an interesting block once set into several options for a layout.
I'm joining these lovely linky parties this week. Please be sure to visit them to see what other creative quilters are sharing.

Those blocks will look great when mixed in with lots of colors. Good job!!
ReplyDeleteEven if it's temporary and not your final choice, I love this green and orange layout! The following blue and purple blocks are going to make a lovely quilt. You are so generous, I'm sure your quilts will be much appreciated by people in need.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing, and linking up.
I like your blocks and they will look great together with the other colors.
