More Granny Patch Blocks

I don't know why I am using lots of time makng these granny patch blocks except that I wanted to make more RSC color blocks and use some of those squares I cut from leftovers and stored for so long.  This photo was taken indoors, so the colors are really brighter than they appear.

I must confess my very first orange block was easy enough to do..... then as I kept making more blocks, I got them more confused each time.  It was really exhausting to keep re-setting it up or taking parts apart..  I think I need to make these from stripsets to keep my head on straight.

Anyway,  here is my labour for today - 2 red blocks and one pink.  I'm trying to fill up with the colors for past months.

and since the color for May is orange, I'll share some orange paper pieced houses I made this week.  They are so cute.  Last month I made 4 pink houses, so it seems I'm building another neighborhood. These houses finish at 6 inches each.

I'm joining these lovely linky parties this week.  Please be sure to visit them to see what other creative quilters are sharing.
