Thank goodness for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge 2013. It is great encouragement to work through those scrap bins, PLUS it is stress-free sewing. How can you pass that up? The theory is that they are scraps now and it doesn't matter what you do with them, as long as you DO SOMETHING with them!
So, to continue my scrappy stars project and more crumb blocks to be inserted as part of another block unit... which is a quilt plan for another time, I offer this current display on my design wall. I must confess that this didn't make a dent in my blue scraps. I might have to resort to some string blocks which translates to "stitching at high speed".
This is just my favorite monthly challenge ever! Thank you, Angela. I will be linking up over at Soscrappy. Be sure to visit here to see all the other participants who link up.
I wish you a blessed Happy Day.
Great looking blues. Though it may not look like you have made a dent, at least you have some lovely finished blocks to enjoy.
ReplyDeleteYour blue blocks are looking good. Its fun to have a challenge isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI love your bright blue fabrics and blocks. Totally agree with you about this RSC. I love playing along with my scraps and seeing what others do with theirs.
ReplyDeleteI agree with RSC being a great encouragement. Can't wait to see what you do with your crumbs blocks!
ReplyDeleteSome really lovely blues! And I do like that star block - they are really going to float in that design.
ReplyDeleteYour blue blocks are looking great! One of my favorite things about the RSC is seeing everyone else's blocks--that has given me so many great ideas for using scraps. Your scrappy stars pattern is on my to-do list for someday.
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are great. I am enjoying this monthly challenge too.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the Rainbow Scrap Challenge as well, your blocks all look great.
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are looking great and add me to the chorus of happy RSC13 quilters! I look forward to seeing all of the blocks each week/month.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite sew along too Kat! Your blue blocks are wonderful! I haven't touched my scraps - I may have to get busy with them too :*)
ReplyDeleteGreat blocks. I love the floating star. I agree with you. This sew along is really fun. It has really kept me interested in finding more scraps to sew up. I haven't found enough blues in this month's range yet so I am still digging.
ReplyDeleteI love that floating star block. I agree with the others, you have some great finished blocks even if the bin is still full.
ReplyDeleteGreat blue work!
