Tuesday Archives # 9 - Boys and BOM's

Tuesday Archives is a program where you dredge up an old post that was retired to the shelf, kind of like re-cycling a good thing.  This week is all about boys or block of months which are a WIP or Finished. Finished is a less common attribute in my home.

The lattice garden block of the month was offered a couple years ago as a free bom on jeanneraecrafts.  I worked it up in EQ, changed the alternate pieced block in the setting and set about collecting black and whites and white and blacks, and an awesome yellow for splash. I still have it on my 'must do' list.  I really want to make it, it's just that other projects keep pushing their way in.

Here are two blocks waiting for more flowers to join them.

I actually made two other blocks too. They were my first two blocks.  I discovered the flowers were placed incorrectly, so I had to make these two above.  The first two blocks will be put into a complimentary runner.  You can read all about this project in the original post  HERE  .

I'm linking up with Val's Quilting Studio where you can discover lots of other archival posts.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Pretty blocks. It will be a stunning quilt when you get it done.

  3. We really are dredging up old memories from the past huh!! I've spent the evening reading posts, and I so like seeing what everyone made before I got to know them. Off to check out your archive....smiles!
