This year at HeartStrings@groups.io | Home, Mary Johnson encouraged a quilt drive of little quilts to be donated , each wrapped around a stuffed doll or animal. Some gals wanted to donate their tops to be finished and a couple of us in the group volunteered to finish these and donate locally. The response was overwhelming. I am balancing the work on these lovely little tops with some of my own. I love to quilt so it has been a joy to play with several free motion designs.
I give thanks and gratitude to those who sent donations. I know the children will find some comfort in these cuddles.
First up is a top I actually finished a couple weeks ago. The top was pieced and donated by Cindy Weber of Indiana. I backed it with an adorable puppy fleece print. I used the piecing grid and quilted diagonal lines. It measures 35 inches square and will go to a young mother with new baby.
the back .........I'm joining these lovely linky parties this week. Please be sure to visit them to see what other creative quilters are sharing.
