Lovely Donated Tops turned into finished quilts

This year at HeartStrings@groups.io | Home, Mary Johnson encouraged a quilt drive of little quilts to be donated , each wrapped around a stuffed doll or animal.  Some gals wanted to donate their tops to be finished and a couple of us in the group volunteered to finish these and donate  locally.  The response was overwhelming.  I am balancing the work on these lovely little tops with some of my own.  I love to quilt so it has been a joy to play with several free motion designs.

I give thanks and gratitude to those who sent donations.  I know the children will find some comfort in these cuddles.

First up is a top I actually finished a couple weeks ago.  The top was pieced and donated by Cindy Weber of Indiana.  I backed it with an adorable puppy fleece print.  I used the piecing grid and quilted diagonal lines.  It measures 35 inches square and will go to a young mother with new baby.

the back .........

Bonnie Adler donated this adorable top, backing & binding. I quilted curves in the 9 patch blocks and ribbon candy in the border.  It will be donated with a bear hug stuffie.

and the back ................

Bonnie Adler also donated this adorable top with chicks and accenting blocks and included the backing and binding.  I quilted some funky ruler work and some overlapping circles.

and the back ........................

This little quilt I called Warwus & Whales Strippie.  It was donated by Sheila Otte along with the backing. I was able to cut the matching binding from the leftover backing.  I quilted it with swirls and ribbon candy.  I love to quilt on strippies.

and here is the back.............
