Twister - Finished!

Yay!  The twister quilt is finished and it was such fun to sew and to quilt.  I dont think any stress evolved while making this project.

This is the front. How could a child not love all the bright colors twisting together?

This is the back. I stitched in the ditch around all the pinwheels. I pre-planned the horizontal and vertical paths which made the quilting proceed quite smoothly.

I wanted to use up the squares that were leftover after cutting my pinwheel blocks, so I worked them into this border.  But!  The twister is so complete without additional borders and next time, those leftover squares are going back into my scrapbox. There are plenty of patterns which call for 3-1/2" squares.

There definitely must be another twister quilt in my future!  It was just a fun time.

  1. WOW! Amazing job Kat! and not just KIDS. . but BIG kids (like me) can't resist those colors either! ;c) Great job. . this ruler is on my TODO list !

  2. Love the bright colors. I agree with Katie, that is just my style. And the border is awesome! It just really keeps those pinwheels from spinning out of control :)

  3. Oh my gosh!! How bright and cheerful! I love it!

  4. I love all the bright colors in this dandy little quilt. Twister is such a fun pattern. I adore tessellations in any form.

  5. What a delight! Lots of movement in this one.
