Scraphappy Saturday - Orange 2

I decided it might be productive to continue to work out of  the orange/rust  bin until the scraps are under control. So I started making crumb blocks - large ones at 6-1/2 inches.  I will put them aside until I choose a block setting to insert them into.



In the meantime, I started paper piecing the very small pieces into a miniature wreath.  I am afraid these tiny 2-inch blocks take up  ' more time than fabric'. You can find the pattern I am using  HERE.  Maybe I will get this finished in time to show off on another scraphappy saturday.

    Lovely orange crumb blocks. As for taking up more time than fabric, sometimes it is all about the process.

    Good crumb blocks. Love your orange bits.
    I sew my crumbs into fabric and them into pot holders :D

    Very nice crumb blocks, but not sure I have the patience for the tiny tiny ones! Even the 6 1/2 crumbs are frustrating - maybe I'm doing something wrong cos I like yours a lot!

    Delicious looking 'crumb' blocks. Mind you I haven't heard of crumb blocks before, does anyone have a tutorial for it?

    Pretty crumb blocks! Yes, the tiny parts take lots of time but as long as you are having fun playing you are all set.
