In an effort to clear out my orange scrap bin, I was encouraged to stitch up this Autumn Rose Wreath. This is a 12 inch block plus borders and ALOT of work. When I started the wreath, I realized I used up most of the oranges during these past two Saturdays, so I had to incorporate alot of rusts too. I could have raided my stash for more orange yardage, but wouldn't that defeat the purpose of clearing out your scrap bin?
You can find the free pattern for my Rose Wreath on my pattern page HERE. I have linked up at Soscrappy where you can visit all the other link-ups with their orange creations. Orange you glad it's Saturday!
Wow! Love your wreath - I would never have thought of doing it in oranges!! My mom would love this :*)
ReplyDeleteThat is completely wonderful and I think the rusts just add to it. How will you use your wreath, will you use it on your door for Fall?
ReplyDeleteThat is wonderful, such vibrant colors. Love it.
ReplyDeleteWOW! This is truly beautiful! I really like it.
ReplyDeleteHi Kat--This is stunning!! Imagine--all from scraps!! Have a great weekend Julierose
ReplyDeleteI agree. Stunning. You are ready for fall!
ReplyDeleteKat, beautiful, vibrant, balanced - lovely.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty. It is a great fall hanging.
ReplyDeleteYour wreath is beautiful!,
ReplyDeleteVery nice! From the thumbnail on Soscrappy's blog, I thought you had used one of those "twister" gadgets. But from the larger pic on your blog I see it is a log cabin variation - what a wonderful pattern! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYour wreath is beautiful! I made a Christmas wallhanging like this many years ago, and you have inspired me to make this pattern again.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute wreath! It would be pretty for just about any holiday in the appropriate colors. It's amazing to think that it is only 12"!!! That is a lot of work. Orange is my least favorite color and so I have really had to search for orange scraps this month.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing! ... :) Pat
