I can't believe that I overlooked a post sharing my finished Crossword quilt. I've searched the blog and couldn't find it, so I will do it today. It really was a special endeavor and required alot of attention to detail.
The photo was taken outside and we were trying to work around the breeze. This quilt was designed around a children's book, Cassie's Word Quilt by Faith Ringgold. The quilt and the book were gifted to a child at the local hospital.
I am linking up with Judy over at Patchwork Times where you will find lots of other creative projects being shared.
What a wonderful gift to the children's hospital!
ReplyDeleteA really neat quilt, and an awesome gift!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I have seen crossword quilts before, I even have a pattern for one I bought at a quilt show years ago, but I love the idea of pairing it with a book. The background colors really make it fun.
ReplyDeleteThis is really cute... I love the scrappy background patches too!
ReplyDeleteKat this is a fun one!! Thanks for sharing it at Tuesday Archives....it's kinda of fun today to get a peek at everyone's older posts. :)I saw one post today from 2010! I love that!
