Scraphappy Saturday - RSC13 finale!

Yay.  I'm so glad that Angela chose December to put all our scrap blocks together, because that is exactly what I was doing.  I chose another color - cream/tan to complete the 12th block.  I put them together QAYG style.  I like the technique, but I don't like the feel of extra stiffness between the blocks, so I will be looking for another way.  I just can't handle them wider than 45-50 inches.

and this is the back:

I'm linking up with Angela over at Soscrappy where you will find lots of other creative projects going on.  I also offer up a big thank you, Angela, for continuing this program next year!  It keeps me motivated.  Even tho I have lots of yardage, I seem happiest when I'm digging the the scrap bins!

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas  and remember the reason for the season!

  1. Very pretty quilt. I love how the white stars pop. Great way to use up pieces for the back. You have an awesome rainbow quilt. What are you going to do with it?

  2. I love your quilt! I may have to 'steal' your idea next year if you don't mind. It is beautiful. I have been avoiding finishing up a project that I planned as a QAYG because it intimidates me a bit. I should just go ahead and do it. Your's looks wonderful.

  5. What a fabulous rainbow quilt! The best part of quilt as you go is that it makes even big quilts doable. Hope you find a method that works for you,

  10. There is something about a basket of scraps put to good use that is so much more satisfying than cutting into yardage. More fabrics are always better in my opinion.
