Yes, I do have an EPP project that is nagging at me all the time. I call it the Queen of Diamonds -- queen size made up of lots of diamonds. The hexagons have 1" sides. I am running out of steam. I did put some together into groups of four. There was a color plan laid out on the board, but it has since gotten lost. Will have to do another plan when it reaches a larger stage of finish. I have a wonderful border designed in my EQ. I can only hope I will reach that stage. I have just as many hexies prepared to assemble into diamonds.
You will find some older posts about this project and a couple tutorials for making the English Paper Piecing Diamonds here: Queen of Diamonds
I am linking up with Val's Quilting Studio where you will find lots more archival posts being shared.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
It looks lovely Kat -
ReplyDeleteThis quilt is absolutely beautiful! I love the diamond shapes and the white between them.
ReplyDeletePretty colors and I love the diamond assembly. Lots of time in that quilt. Who gets this one?

Hi Kat, I am so happy to met you. I found your blog on the blog-list of Rebecca in AK; she and I are mutual followers. I love paper piecing. I discovered it last winter and it is such a great way to give my busy hands something to do while watch TV with my hubby in the evenings.
ReplyDeleteI am your newest follower and I would love to invite you over to my blog to visit.
I love your quilt . . . hexies are my favorites :)
Your new blogging sister,
Connie :)
This is such a great quilt! I hope you find the 'steam' to finish it!
ReplyDeleteOh this is gorgeous, Kat; don't give up hope on it! Sometimes projects just feel like they'll never end...it is too lovely to let go...hugs, Julierose
